Shaye works as a Health Promotion Specialist within Alice! Health Promotion. In her role, she oversees the day-to-day content management and logistics of the Go Ask Alice! website. When not at work, Shaye can be found traveling, enjoying food and/or live music with friends, having lengthy phone conversations with family, or curled up on the couch watching TV with her cats (Janie & Binx).

Sarah studies Narrative Medicine at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies. She is interested in the fields of reproductive health and justice, gastroenterology, and mental health. When not studying or working, Sarah loves reading, drinking tea, listening to podcasts, and going for walks.

Alic is the Senior Executive Director of Alice! Health Promotion. They have been working in health promotion in higher education for more than 18 years, with special interest in substance use and recovery, assessment and evaluation, and public health. When not perusing the Go Ask Alice! website, Alic loves walking their dog McKinney, seeing Broadway shows, everything Star Wars, and paranormal research.

Darlene works as a Health Promotion Specialist within Alice! to identify the needs of students, forging relationships with campus partners, and working to create a culture that centers and prioritizes well-being for the campus community. In her spare time, Darlene enjoys reading, drawing, collecting a variety of plants, and trying different recipes. She enjoys exploring different neighborhoods in the city and trying lots of different foods.

Evan is a senior in the Dual BA program with Trinity College Dublin, studying Political Science and Linguistics. He spends most of his free time in the city meetings dogs in Riverside Park and going to concerts in Brooklyn. When he's not in New York he travels as much as possible, and can usually be found in one airport or another. A fun fact about Evan is that he ran a marathon when he was 17!

Padma is the Director of Well-Being and Health Promotion in Alice! Health Promotion. She has been working in the field of health promotion in higher education for over ten years. In her time she has worked on a variety of health topics including sexual violence prevention, stress management, nutrition, physical activity, and sleep. In her more recent roles, she has focused on working with campus partners on systems and culture-level change to promote student well-being. Outside of work, Padma enjoys spending time with family and watching reality TV.

In her role, she serves as a Resource Navigator and partners with cross-disciplinary teams within Columbia Health to manage the creation and implementation of workflows to align students care across various on-campus departments and off-campus resources. In her free time, Marlena enjoys making jewelry, going fishing, and grabbing sushi with friends. She also enjoys spending time with family and traveling.

Su Jean is a junior at Columbia College majoring in English and Comparative Literature and Middle Eastern Studies. In her free time, she is an avid member of the lion dance club on campus, explores museums, and takes long walks along the river.

Sylvie Nyamu is a Program Specialist for Epidemiology Surveillance at Columbia University. She works collaboratively with the Public Health team to identify and manage infectious disease outbreaks. Her team coordinates surveillance efforts and systematically implements disease control measures. In her free time, Sylvie is an avid runner, explores hiking trails, practices yoga, and cherishes travelling with friends and family. She also enjoys getting lost in a good book.

Jokes aside, Gina has been working in the college health promotion field for the last seven years, and she has particular interests in health equity, chronic illness, and the history of medicine and public health. When not at work, she loves seeing Broadway shows, playing board games, and wandering around bookstores.

She has been working in the field of higher education for over 5 years. Her background spans a variety of functions including health promotion, marketing and communications, student career development, and sexual violence prevention. Outside of work, she enjoys rock climbing, yoga, and pursuing creative endeavors.
