Longing for love poems

Dear a boy,

How romantic to send, not to mention to receive, a love poem. Poems are a wonderful way to put feelings onto paper. The beauty of poetry is that there are no rules — prose rich in love can be heard in movies, television, and music, or read in poetry books or greeting cards. Of course, some of the most cherished love poems are those written by the sender. Perhaps someday you'll be inspired, by the right person or a special moment, to write your own poem. Below are a few favorites among published love prose to start you off:

Other poets renowned for their expressions of love and romance through poetry include William Shakespeare, Lord Byron, Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, and Walt Whitman, just to name a few. You may also check out other more recently famous poets such as Maya Angelou, Robert Frost, Audre Lorde, and Pablo Neruda. It's said that love is a global language, which may be why inspiring poetry can be found all around the world. Need help finding more? If poems aren't your jam, lyrics from love songs and ballads may be another good source of inspiration. Searching in your favorite genre — whether it be classical, pop, country, rap, or hip hop — may also help you discover new poetry in music you never knew existed! 

Prose aside, there are other things you can do to meet a partner. You may want to try joining a new club or getting involved in activities that you enjoy. You don't need to go in with the sole motivation of finding that special someone, but you may find that it's easier to form bonds with people who share your interests and passions.
