How Go Ask Alice! works

Alice,

Do all of your questions get answered? If so, how long does it take for them to be posted? I have asked three questions and have not seen a response yet.

Dear Curious,

Although there are many great questions asked, it's simply not possible to answer each and every one of them. Amazingly, hundreds of submissions a week are received, and five new and updated ones are carefully researched and answered each Friday. Because of the level of research that goes into informing an answer to a question, it can take several days, weeks, or even months to create a response.

It might be useful for you to read the All About Alice!  page to get more information about Go Ask Alice! and how the service works. Even more details can be found on the FAQ (frequently asked questions) page. If you haven’t already, browsing the Q&A archives may help you find the answers you seek (found under the Health Answers menu) in the form of other Q&A(s) that might have been similar to the ones you submitted. You might also use the search feature as an efficient way to find more on specific topics of interest. Lastly, if you'd like to stay on top of the most up-to-date content published on the site, you can Get Alice! In Your Box and sign up for the weekly email.

Just for the record, any question that asks for a diagnosis isn't answered, as Go Ask Alice! is a health information resource that doesn't diagnose over the Internet. It’s also not a direct response service or a replacement for professional medical advice; if you have a question about a medical condition, it's best that you seek out a health care provider in your area right away to get more immediate answers to your own health questions.

Thanks for visiting Go Ask Alice! and keep those questions coming!
