	Already a city of strong tobacco laws, public health professionals are proposing that the minimum legal age to buy cigarettes be raised to 21.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;
	The virus, with 110 cases and 23 deaths reported in China, is deadly and dangerous to humans although no person-to-person transmission cases have been seen.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
	&lt;a href=&quot;http://healthland.time.com/2013/04/25/one-12-oz-sugar-sweetened-drink-a-day-ups-diabetes-risk/&quot;&gt;April 25, 2013: A recent study finds that drinking one sugared beverage a day increases the risk of type 2 diabetes by 22%.&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
	Researchers in Europe found that over the course of 15 years, those who consumed a 12 oz. sugared beverage on average daily had a greater risk of developing diabetes compared to those who drank a can of soda once a month or less.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
	&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/news/fullstory_136178.html&quot;&gt;April 23, 2013: A recent study found that when college-aged adults binge drink it may hinder their circulatory functions, setting the stage for later heart disease.&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
	While the study, published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, found an association between binge drinking in young adults and possible increased risk of future heart disease, it did not establish a cause-and-effect relationship.&lt;/p&gt;

	Although the trend is decreasing from the 2007 numbers,&amp;nbsp; barriers to access of long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARC) still remain high and pose a concern for public health officials aimed at bringing the numbers lower.&lt;/p&gt;
